Sales Manager, Conductor Cores

The objective of this position is to take responsibility and ownership of the entire sales process for Exel’s conductor core products. You will be supported by the conductor core Product Manager and Application Development Engineer to ensure transition to this role and get deeper knowledge of the products. As part of the Engineered Solutions Business Unit Sales team, you are offered an exciting independent Sales Manager role where your contributions will directly impact the Business. You will have the unique opportunity to see firsthand how your efforts contribute to the development of the company’s trajectory and the chosen strategic directions. The ideal candidate should possess significant experience within the electrical transmission and distribution market. You will report to the VP, Sales & Marketing, BU Engineered solutions.

Your main responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Exel Order Intake and revenue growth in conductor cores market.
  • Creating the Exel Group’s sales and marketing strategies on a global level, derived from the Exel Group’s business plan and strategy, and support implementing it.
  • Plan and drive marketing activities in a region (Exel brand, awareness, market visibility).
  • As a member of the Exel Regional Sales & Marketing team, responsible for setting targets and priorities for projects, ensuring that all BUs meet their sales targets, and maintaining adequate sales resourcing.
  • The Sales Manager may have his own customers (e.g. Key Accounts) and/or sales projects (must win cases and/or other target sales projects).
  • The Sales Manager is a link between Sales & Marketing, Product Management, Technical Sales and Operations.
  • The Sales Manager drives the optimization of Exel´s sales channels in the region in close co-operation with Exel global team.

Desired skills and competencies:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Business, additional technical degree is a plus.
  • Strong cross-cultural sales experience within a global context, a solid technical understanding beneficial.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical transmission and distribution, preferably overhead lines.
  • Project management experience in product development and customer projects.
  • Good management, leadership and team building skills in multicultural and matrix organizations.
  • Proficient in sales management tools such as CRM and data analytics.
  • Fluent spoken and written in English, other languages are a plus.
  • Understanding of financials (e.g. profitability calculations, budgeting and business cases).
  • Self-motivation for continuous learning in composite materials and applications.
  • Excellent verbal communication, negotiation skills, market intelligence and capability to effective writing.
  • Readiness to travel extensively.
