Chemist

to join our team!

In this role you will be supporting our research and development activities through new technology and materials testing both in laboratory and in production process scale. In addition, your tasks will include chemistry support for Application Engineering and Production teams on-site. The position is located at our Joensuu factory. You will report to the Research Manager, Group Technology & Sustainability.

Your main responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Conduct laboratory and process testing, development, and reporting for resin, reinforcement, and composite materials.
  • Supervise and participate in development production runs within the production environment.
  • Manage technical documentation and ERP records for resin formulations.
  • Provide technical support to Application Engineering and Production teams.
  • Manage chemical safety and compliance documentation.
  • Take overall responsibility and leadership (project management) of the given projects.

Desired skills and competencies:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge in chemistry and chemical safety documentation.
  • Proactive attitude for problem solving.
  • Self-motivation and drive for continuous learning and skill development in composite materials and applications.
  • Willingness to quickly adapt to new projects, technologies, and work environments.
  • Good verbal communication skills and capability to effective writing.
  • Good spoken and written in Finnish and English for communication with local personnel and with international customers, suppliers, and team members. Other languages are beneficial.
