QUALITY ENGINEER TO BELGIUM FACTORY

to join our team!

Factory quality engineer drives quality, environment and safety activities and development around the factory. In this role, you will work closely together with our manufacturing team as well as our customers and suppliers with the goal to improve the process stability and by that the end product quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage quality issues, support and coordinate continuous improvement activities including internal and external quality issues around all functions
  • Manage quality findings processes (customer and internal quality findings)
    • Use suitable problem solving tool and follow up/drive to end result
    • Implements continuous improvement
    • Secure all procedures and protocols available at all points needed
  • Support production, SCM and R&D to develop and manage supply chain
    • Supplier capability and quality issues
    • Customer quality audits
    • New product development quality processes and process capability
  • Work with other functions to implement systematic and harmonized processes and practices for
    • Operations to improve the capability of the process
    • Operations to identify and correct root causes for scrap
    • Sales to ensure pertinent quality issues are “designed” into the process

Required:

  • Bachelor of engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry or similar education
  • Must be a well-organized and motivated self-starter
  • Must take strong initiatives and activity to drive continuous improvement and lean practicies to our internal daily operations
  • Effective and strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and succinctly present data and information
  • Proficient in English

Desired:

  • Oral and written Dutch and English language skills
  • Minitab experience, SixSigma, Lean, experience of quality systems and ERP systems, experience of chemical industry and related work safety

De Fabriek Kwaliteit ingenieur drijft kwaliteit, milieu en veiligheid activiteiten en ontwikkeling door de fabriek. In deze functie, werk je nauw samen met ons productie team, onze klanten en leveranciers met als doel de proces stabiliteit en zodoende de eindkwaliteit te verhogen.

Verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Beheer kwaliteits issues, supporteer en coördineer continue verbeter activiteiten doorheen alle functies
  • Beheer klachten (extern en intern)
    • Gebruik gepaste probleem oplossing tool en volg op/drijf tot eindresultaat
    • Implementeer continue verbeteren
    • Beheer/verzeker dat alle nodige procedures en methodes beschikbaar zijn
  • Ondersteun productie, aankoop en ontwikkeling om de aankoop ketting te verbeteren
    • Leverancier mogelijkheden en kwaliteits issues
    • Klant kwaliteits audits ondersteunen
    • Haalbaarheidstudie voor nieuw product/proces
  • Werk samen met andere functies om een systematisch en geharmoniseerd proces en instructies te bekomen
    • Productie om de proces stabiliteit te verhogen
    • Productie om de hoofdoorzaak van afval te identificeren en aan te pakken
    • Verkoop om te verzekeren dat relevante kwaliteitsissues ontwikkeld worden in het proces

Vereist:

  • Bachelor of engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry of gelijkaardig geschoold
  • Moet een goed georganiseerde en gemotiveerde zelfstarter zijn
  • Moet een actieve, sterke initiatiefnemer zijn die continue verbeteren en lean-praktijken kan toepassen op onze dagelijkse activiteiten
  • Sterke/effectieve verbale en geschreven communicatie skills
  • Omschrijf problemen, verzamel data, onderscheid feiten, trek valabele conclusies, in staat data en informatie kort en bondig samen te vatten
  • Vlot Engelstalig

Gewenst:

  • Vlot geschreven en verbaal Nederlands en Engelstalig
  • Ervaring met Minitab, SixSigma, Lean, kwaliteit systemen en ERP zijn pluspunten
